February Training 2/8 at 0830 in our usual training room #3 at the Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Training Center in Hillsboro. We will have sessions with a little bit of talk followed by a little bit of DO.

For our training sessions: always bring an HT, charged battery, antenna, spare battery if you have one, the radio directions, notepaper, pen or pencil, clipboard. Consider having ICS forms 309, 214, 214A, 213. Also, ICS 200-B or ICS200-L (simply blank or lined notepaper).

- Public Service Radios: Corey will give introduce county public service UHF radios (simplex) with directions for hands-on training. They have channels and volume control – EZ-peasy. We can use simplex inside. Later we can use a repeating system outside.

Each team will head to a specific given location in the indoor simulation city. Each team will establish RF comms with the control and transmit specific realistic information by radio. Oh, and keep a proper record.

- Hotwash: An introduction (lecture and/or video) on how to participate in post incident briefings. This will be followed by a real hotwash based on our comms exercise today. A hotwash is a verbal after action review by the team. Some of the videos mix this up with a written after action report by the team leader. What is an After Action Report
