2017 Oregon Regional Ham partial Template – for BF-F8 V2x – limit 127ch.csv
I loaded a similar file for my BF-F5 V2+. CHIRP did not have this model for Up/downloading but it appears to work if I used the BF-F8HP model protocol.
I took the 199 channel original file and pared it down to 127 to the limit of the UV-5R. I decided to pick the most likely closest counties.
I think I have it figured out. FYI – in CHIRP if you:
1) load in a csv
2) hook up radio and [Radio]>”Download from Radio” with what is currently in the radio; then
3) go to the tab for the csv you originally loaded, click somewhere on the form; then Copy by Cntrl C; 4) now, click back to the tab of the info you just got from your radio; click onto that form and use Cntrl V to paste over [ALL] (say yes to all)
4) now [Radio]>”Upload to Radio”. That did it for me!
