Old TV Weather Guys calling for freezing rain, sleet, 0.2″ ice, 1-3″ of snow on the valley floor starting about 0800L, Thursday.

Old TV Weather Guys expect up to 4″ in West Hills and outside the metro areas by Saturday.

* WHAT…For the Cold Weather Advisory, cold wind chills (“feels
like”) as low as 10 to 25 degrees fahrenheit expected.

* WHERE…In Oregon, Inner Portland Metro, Portland West Hills and
Chehalem Mountain, and Tualatin Valley. In Washington, Inner
Vancouver Metro and North Clark County Lowlands.

* WHEN…From 7 PM this evening to noon PST Friday.

* IMPACTS…Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Those planning to venture outdoors should use common sense and dress
warmly, making sure exposed skin is properly covered to prevent
frostbite and/or hypothermia.

Avoid being outdoors in wet conditions which can increase the risk
of the body cooling down and becoming hypothermic.

FRIDAY…

* WHAT…Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations between one
tenth and two tenths of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…Portland Metro Lowlands, Greater Vancouver Metro, and
Portland West Hills and Chehalem Mountain.

* WHEN…From 4 AM Thursday to 10 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Consider postponing travel until weather conditions improve.

If you must travel, be sure to slow down and allow extra time.

If you are using a generator, be sure to keep it outdoors and away
from windows and vents.
