New DMR Net: Cascadia Coastal Community HAM Net

February is Earthquake and Tsunami Awareness Month in Oregon. Original source is OEM.

2025-02-11 It will be very cold and dry through Wednesday evening, with overnight lows down to the low 20s and wind chills in the teens. A low-pressure system will push
in from south to north Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with precipitation starting as snow Thursday morning and then transitioning to freezing rain by mid-day/afternoon. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing Thursday. Areas closer to the Columbia River Gorge will transition to freezing rain later due to strong east winds pushing in cold, dry air. There is increasing confidence we’ll see ~.10 inches of freezing rain in the metro area. See map below for the most likely freezing rain accumulations. Freezing rain may continue into Friday.
